An impression about the late husband of the film's author Magdalena Łazarkiewicz, director Piotr Łazarkiewicz, who died 6 years ago. It isn't a strictly biographical tale, nor is it an abstract of his life's work. It's a film mosaic composed of fragments of student films, features, documentaries, teleplays, stage plays, as well as short statements and the “significant presence” of the people who were close to Piotr. Furthermore, “(Dis)appearance” is a very personal attempt at tackling the question of how to describe a loved one who passed on, and how to deal with the experience of their death. It also addresses the issue of presenting the personality to the fullest extent, without limiting oneself to the painful feelings associated with loss.
