DESCRIPTION

The independent, lonely, and determined Mary Bee Cudy undertakes a mission that men were too fearful of. Her assignment is to escort three mad, young women from Nebraska to Iowa. At the destination, the deranged are to be taken in by the pastor's wife. When Mary Bee saves deserter George Briggs from being hung, he promises to accompany her on the perilous journey as a token of gratitude.

“The Homesman” is an exciting combination of a western and a road movie, with impressive cinematography. The main roles are played by Oscar-winners: Meryl Streep, Hilary Swank, and Tommy Lee Jones, who once again proved that he isn't just an outstanding actor but also a talented director.
