DESCRIPTION
For forty years, legendary Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado has documented human history in a period of dramatic changes, bearing witness to military conflicts, genocide, famine, and forced migration. In his new project, “Genesis,” he departs from social photography for the first time; instead, he illustrates Earth's beauty. We approach Salgado from two perspectives: that of his son Juliano, and that of Wim Wenders, the film's co-director, who is a photographer as well.

DIRECTOR
Wim Wenders (1946) German director, one of the most important representatives of auteur cinema. Multiple award winner at film festivals, laureate of the Palme d'Or for “Paris, Texas” and the Golden Lion for “The State of Things.” President of the European Film Academy.Juliano Ribeiro Salgado (1974) Brazilian director and screenwriter, born in Paris. Graduated from the London Film School. Since 1996 he has been working for television, directing documentary films in Angola, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Brazil.
