DESCRIPTION
There is just one week until Kate Mercer's 45th wedding anniversary and the planning for the party is going well. But then an unexpected letter arrives for her husband. The body of his first love has been discovered, frozen and preserved in the icy glaciers of the Swiss Alps. By the time the party is upon them, five days later, there may not be a marriage left to celebrate.
Director Andrew Haigh, whom Polish audiences know thanks to his “Weekend,” has written a subtle drama for two outstanding, experienced actors. Rampling and Courtenay read one another, affectionately taking on their characters who, in difficult times, discover how far they have travelled together – and how much further they still need to go.

DIRECTOR
Andrew Haigh (1973) British director and screenwriter. In 2003 he released his debut short “Oli.” Although his feature debut “Greek Pete” didn't make it to theatres outside the UK, his later film “Weekend” has been screened at many festivals and brought him widespread renown. The film, together with the “Looking” TV series, made Haigh one of the most valued authors in the field of gay cinema.FILMOGRAPHY
