A year of separation, a continent between them, and the attempt to maintain a long-distance relationship. Alex lives in Barcelona, Sergi moves 10,000km away, to Los Angeles. The first weeks apart prove to be a harsh test, but they do their best to support each other. Now their relationship began to develop in the virtual world, and the daily “get-togethers” have become digital. Video-chats, e-mails, and online messaging are to help them in overcoming the distance and time difference. Is their love strong enough to make it through the 12 months of separation? Is there any method for a happy relationship between people this far apart? Carlos Marques-Marcet doesn't give simple answers. Already in the first 23-minute shot the director strips the protagonists of any Hollywood sentiment and begins telling a love story that is frank – painfully frank, sometimes.
