DESCRIPTION

Three Polish builders and their foreman Nowak (Jeremy Irons) arrive in London to renovate the home of a rich fellow Pole. The military crackdown in Poland is mirrored by a string of disasters for the builders, who have yet to learn of the turmoil back at home. “Moonlightning” is a bitter film about difficult and often humiliating fate of the immigrants, shot by the director who himself left Poland years ago. Skolimowski, looking from the outside, also takes part in the discussion about political situation in his communist-governed motherland.
