DESCRIPTION
1944, Auschwitz-Birkenau. Two days in the life of Saul Auslander, member of the Sonderkommando (a squad of Jewish prisoners forced to assist the Nazis in the great annihilation machine), shortly before the revolt broke out. In an unfathomable reality, in a situation without a chance of survival, Saul will try to salvage what remains of the man he once was. In his shocking debut, Nemes decided to maximally approximate the protagonist's perception and show fragments of his world. The viewers see and hear only as much as the protagonist does, so that as much as possible is left to their own sensitivity.
