“Ten” is a cycle of ten video-arts created during recent years as part of Jacek Jędrzejczak's project “Pieces of Suspended Time.” The cycle touches upon the most important areas of the author's artistic interests like time manipulation, the symbolism of primal matters, and existential reflection. The series' distinctive feature is the mutual interaction of image and sound. “Ten” is the result of collaboration with excellent double bass player Bogdan Mizerski. It is also the effect of both artists' fascination with the areas of art which aren't their domain: Jacek Jędrzejczak with sound, and Bogdan Mizerski with image. The cycle's main idea is to invite the viewer into a discussion with their inner self.
Bogdan Mizerski – Born in Sosnowiec, where he lives and works. Musician, double bass player, composer, lyricist, and producer. He experiments with combining the double bass with electronics. He has made original film forms called “Gallery of sound,” where he combines his own music with modern Polish paintings. Co-founder of the band Light from Poland (1985-1987). In 1987-1991 he was the frontman, singer, and bass player of the Blustro Blues Band. He has played in the following music bands: Strajk 80, Orator Magic, M3, Poesy Jazz Fraction, Asocjacja Andrzeja Przybielskiego, O.KO. Runs the Off Records record company.
