Margarethe von Trotta will visit Kazmierz Dolny and Janowiec. The famous German director, the hero of this year’s foreign retrospective, will personally invite everyone to the premiere screening of her most recent film, “The Misplaced World.”

Von Trotta will come to Two Riversides with her latest film, which hasn’t yet been shown in Poland – “The Misplaced World.” It is a story that starts with a photograph of Caterina Fabiani, renowned opera singer who performs at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. One day, the photo is found online by a single man raising his daughter, and he recognises the woman as his recently deceased wife. Who is Caterina? A twin sister? A reincarnation of Sophie’s mother? A doppelgänger? The screening will take place on August 7th.
